Footage Production, Inc. was formed in 1998 by performer/producer Tony Waag in order to establish a higher level of understanding and examination of tap dance as an art form. In association with the non-profit, the American Tap Dance Orchestra, Footage Productions creates, develops and presents various concert, stage and film productions throughout the year. The company currently produces Tap City, the annual New York City Tap Festival, which features an extensive training program, city wide events, premiere performances, panel discussions, film screenings, and a youth program for children and teens. Other ongoing projects include a Winter Tap Intensive for adults and youth, the development of a feature film entitled "Footage" (a musical fantasy), the International Tap Dance Hall of Fame, and the American Tap Dance Center of New York City. |
